Watch the repulsive physician/senator Tom Coburn as he comforts a grief-stricken Oklahoma constituent with a sick husband. Oklahoma voters (their other senator is James Inhofe) have a lot to answer for.
We seem to be truly stuck in a Naomi Klein type "Shock Doctrine" situation by way of the Republicans who are even holding up the budget here in Pennsylvania.

Posted by: evil is evil on August 26, 2009 5:28 AMThe 'government" that is not the solution would be the same government, i.e. tax payers that pay for about 95% of Tom's health-care coverage. The framing conservatives use is morally reprehensible in light of their billions spent on no bid contracts to KBR and to mercenaries - war for profit- Blackwater(Xe). Government solving 'all' are problems is not the issue, its whether Americans can be free to join together to be a nation of good neighbors and help each other with primary issues like access to health-care.
