Well, yeah. He studied a bat last month, and decided to leave one wing.

Long ago, I knew a cat named Sasha who did exactly that. Her humans left the house because of a bat that evaded the broom, and when they returned, there was just one wing tip in the front hall. Cats' interest in a fat mouse that flies around (AKA, a bird without those disgusting feathers) is understandable.
