Attack of the Death Drones

"Like a primitive biplane from the earliest days of flight, its wings and twinned tail fins were made of wood and stretched fabric. Swathes of plastic masking tape covered the wing joints."

Remember those Iraqi drones that Colin and Ari and all the guys were so excited about? The ones that were going to rain nerve gas and anthrax all over the sacred homeland, probably including Secaucus and Sewickley and Schenectady or wherever else you — yes, you — happen to live?

In that case, you'll be relieved to read the story from which I took the quote above.

Now I finally see why war is necessary, even if none of Iraq's neighbors and none of our allies see the threat. If they have this type of flying machine, they most likely have developed a catapult as well. At any rate, we can't take the gamble.

I like it.

I am trying to explain some thing to your compatriot but I do not have your skill: I am not writter and my usual language is French.

I love your sense of humour even if I do not understand everything missing the right cultural context and background.

Keep on writting for peace and for open mind please.

Eric
